Look out! Ms. D is on a roll in the blogging department. I figured I better squeeze some extra posts in now to help even out those days I’ll miss with all the end of the year chaos coming up. I also promised to tell you about my new pack and bring you a little freebie this weekend, so here I be!
For the past two in a half weeks, I have been putting together my 3D Shape Pack. We always do some really “off the wall” activities in our class when it comes to learning about solid figures. Although my firsties come in with a wonderful foundation of 3D Shape knowledge (thank you Kinder), I like to review and build on this “base” with a series of cooperative, hands on, and just flat out “different” activities. Case in point . . . Sphere Races.
I love this idea for my upcoming 3D shapes unit in math. You rock…as always!! 🙂 Thank you!

Learning Is Something to Treasure
Thanks so much Lisa! You are too sweet.
Shh…don't tell my math book publisher but this would totally make that part of the book obsolete. I'll have to keep this in mind next time I do solid shapes.

You Might Be a First Grader….
Hahahahahaha . . . you crack me up. I can't stand this chapter in our book (so blah). I should thank them for sparkin' these ideas 😉
This looks like so much fun! #D shapes will never be the same!

Special Teacher for Special Kids
Thanks for poppin' in and taking the time to write. This pack is indeed a little "out there," but the kids always seem to respond well to "nutty."
The kiddos would love this! Me, too!
