PUMPKIN ADJECTIVES – CRAFTIVITY + CENTERS

October 14, 2012 by teacherideafactory

Okay, so I am a little behind the 8-ball on this Halloween themed activity, but I figured better a little late than never . . . and it’s a super easy one to slip in the mix.  I know cuz I tried this ditty out just last week!  And, despite all of the utter craziness that last week had to offer, this little set of adjective activities delighted the kiddos, covered a common core standard, and didn’t cause any undo stress on me (one tired as all get out teacher).  With this said, let me present to you . . .

This puppy has a cute craftivity as well as multiple center/independent activities that all focus on one very important part of speech.  My kids had a ball creating their own adjective pumpkins last week . . .

Decisions . . . decisions!  Selecting the perfect adjective.
Going to town in the creative department!

Check out the finished product!  And, yup . . . that’s a booger hanging out of “silly’s” nose.
Are these my kids, or are these my kids??!!

I used the throw away black and white adjectives for this, but I made super cute color ones for the packet that you can attach to each pumpkin and hang for the best learning-based bulletin board.

Here’s a little look-see at the rest of the packet.  It has pumpkin craftivity templates (if that’s how you roll), two follow up writing activities, an adjective hunt, and multiple center/independent activity options.  CLICK HERE to take a closer look.

Speaking of pumpkins and Halloween . . . have y’all heard about the “No Tricks, Just Treats” Giveaway going on over at Queen of the First Grade Jungle??  Well, sweet Katie has outdone herself this time by puttin’ together a heart-stoppin’ contest!  Take my word for it – this is one you do not want to miss.  Click on her button below to enter today!

Just look at what you can win . . . holy guac and chips friends!!!
This is the “queen” mutha of all Halloween Giveaways πŸ™‚
Alright sweet friends.  I am off to work on my next packet.  WOW vs. BLAH Sentences has been waiting in the wings for weeks and now that my Fall Break is here I am ready to get ‘er done!  I’ll be back much sooner than usual with this and another Halloween freebie πŸ˜‰  Thanks again for taking the time to visit.

These are adorable Kelley!!! I especially LOVE how the kiddos get to design them…I am craft challenged and cannot even make things "cute" with a template! Lol! =)

    You are amazing!
