POTPOURRI POST (DOESN’T THAT SOUND FANCY?)

Hey friends.  Here comes a potpourri post . . . doesn’t that sound fancy?  It makes me think of that mystery Jeopardy category that I always seem to power through.  Okay, so this title was a fluke (the coffee kicked in) . . . but, let’s be honest, it sounded so much better than Hot Mess Post.

With this said, I’m gonna make this as quick as I want to sneak in some Pen Pal work before we head to our last event in Portland – a backyard BBQ with some dear friends.  Yup, it’s the last day of our glorious 12 day road trip.  We went from Seattle to . . . Vancouver, B.C. to . . . Seattle to . . .  Cannon Beach and finally to . . . Portland.  It has been so much fun, but I am ready to hug the pup and sleep in my own bed tonight.  And, it is indeed time to face the reality that teacher duty days start in a week 😉

I wanted to quickly touch base on a few things.  Let’s start with Pen Pals – I have had a few questions in this department lately.  I brought my trusty old as all get out laptop with me on vacay.  I managed to pump out all of the Kinder emails this week in between eating, drinking, and playing.  It usually consisted of me hunched over on the bed while the hubs sawed ’em off.  Are you proud of me, or what??!!  Hehehehehe 🙂  

Below you will find the latest breakdown of where things stand.  I should be able to get them all finished by the end of next week . . . fingers crossed!

  1. TK – TODAY! COMPLETE!
  2. Special Ed – TODAY! COMPLETE!
  3. Kinder – Week of July 27th COMPLETE!
  4. 1st – Started TODAY (8/2) BOOM . . . COMPLETE!
  5. 2nd – By Sunday (8/10)
  6. 3rd – By Sunday (8/10)
  7. 4th – Week of August 4th COMPLETE!
  8. 5th – By Thursday (7/24) COMPLETE!
  9. 6th + 7th + 8th – By Thursday (7/24) COMPLETE!
Now that that’s out of the way, I wanted to tell you that I too will be jumpin’ in on the HUGE TPT SALE that’s headed our way.  Um, yeah . . . and the hubs thought I spent a lot at J.Crew yesterday – he has NO idea what I can do on TPT??!!  I cannot wait to empty my own shopping cart come Monday.  It’s jam packed with treats from Melonheadz, Annie Moffatt, Karen Jones, and so many more.  If you are interested in seeing what’s new for Back to School from Teacher Idea Factory, I will be back tomorrow to showcase all of my fun B2S goods and some freebies.  I have one more pack that is 98% finished — Boxin’ Up Good Behavior.  You can bet it will be the first thing I do when I walk in the door tonight . . . well after a few puppy kisses.
