I know this is poor form, but I am going to re-post the Pen Pal Pair Up write up from yesterday.  The contest is now over and I wanted to highlight the winners, but I also wanted to see if a re-post would help get us even more teachers signed up for Pen Pal matches.  As of this morning we are at 134 sign-ups and climbing.  This is soooooo exciting.  The more teachers we have, the better match ups I can make . . . so please help spread the word.

Key a huge puff of smoke, hundreds of Pink Floyd neon laser-lights flashing, and that music you hear during time outs at basketball games . . . oh yes . . . It’s time for The Perfect Pen Pal Pair Up!
Okay, now that I got my little comedy routine out of the way, I can get down to biz-ness!  I cannot wait to tell you about this super fun event I am hosting.
Thank you Scrappin’ Doodles, LD, and Miss Tiina Fonts!

I don’t know about you, but I have always wanted to start up pen pals in my classroom.  However, I never quite knew where to start.  Finding a partner seemed so difficult.  Well, that all changed for me this year when sweet Nicole approached me. The utter excitement I felt from this is still going strong and I am all set up for the upcoming school year.  Others should get to experience this as well and I am going to help!
If you are interested in becoming a committed pen pal for the upcoming school year, simply click on the Pair Up button below and fill out the Google Doc form before Sunday, August 12th.
Once the submission deadline passes, I will do my very best to provide you with the best possible pen pal pair up!  I will contact you directly with your pen pal’s info as soon as I have the list compiled.
CLICK THE BUTTON ABOVE AND I’ll FIND YOU A PEN PAL!!

This event is now closed 🙂

REMEMBER!!  This event is open to all teachers – you do not have to have a blog to participate!  So, what are you waiting for . . . go on . . . sign up! We’d love to have ya.
If you are still wondering how you are going to manage this whole pen pal deal in your classroom, I did make a Pen Pal Packet for my partner and I to use this year.  It contains everything you need to start and maintain a long distance classroom connection.  This baby is 20% off in my TPT STORE through the weekend in honor of this event.

Well, I am out of here!  Off to the BIG CITY to have my 6 month post-surgery follow up.  Uh, still not finished packing and we have to leave in 20 minutes.  WHOOPS!  Oh, the life of a blogger 🙂  See you soon!

**If you could “pin,” facebook, or blog abut this, I would greatly appreciate it.  The larger the pool, the better match ups we will have!  Also, if you have additional questions about The Perfect Pen Pal Pair Up, feel free to contact me (kelleydolling@gmail.com).

Hello! I just came across your post while looking for pen pals for my students. I know that your program is over, but do you have any suggestions for how I can find reliable pen pals for my students? Or have you had any other inquries come in?
