MAKE SURE YOU HIT IT ALL – END OF THE YEAR GOOD MORNING WORK

Word!  How y’all been?  I am just coming off Spring Break (last day) and I am feeling rested and happy. I am again going to make this quick as my wrist is still on the mend.  Turns out all this bloggin’ and TPTin’ has lead to the start of some serious tendonitis.  I caught it early, got a new slick computer mouse, and am on mega anti-inflamatories, but I don’t want to push it yet.  Therefore, I am going to drop in and out again today.  I can’t tell ya how much I miss chattin’ it up on here, but alas, I need a few more weeks before I get back up to cruising speed.  #majorbummer

Now that we got that silly business out of the way, I want to move on to something that blows my mind.  Uh, can you believe that it’s already going to be May?  I have NO IDEA where April went.  It absolutely floors me that this school year will be over in a little more than a month.    

With this said, I always freak out a bit when it comes to that final assessment period.  I don’t know about you, but I always ponder of all the things I didn’t get to target as much as I would have liked.  Don’t get me wrong . . . I’m not talking about gaping holes.  However, I look back about this time of year and think OMGOSH . . . I haven’t touched on telling time again.  Or, WOW, we still need more adjective practice.  It drives me bonkers . . . who knew finding an ounce of time could be so difficult.  Do you ever get like this?

This year has been especially freaky.  If you follow me, you know that we have a new math program that {in my humble opinion} leaves holes and often confuses the babes.  I have been creating and supplementing like crazy (hence the hand injury me thinks), but one thing has saved my bacon more than anything this year – GOOD MORNING WORK.

I use these packets every morning and it has kept me on track.  I know that my babes are getting a sampling of everything they will need to know when they walk out my door come June 13th.  With this said, I just finished up my 2nd Grade Packets for May.  Both are Common Core aligned and walk that fine line between being highly rigorous and fostering student independence.
