Hey y’all . . . I am finally pulling my head out of the clouds and sitting down at the computer today. It’s funny. I am officially out for summer (as of last Friday), but I have been in slow motion ever since. It’s that EOY let down that got me. You know . . . that feeling that leaves you with an uneasy pit in your stomach that you should be doing something, but there really isn’t anything that you have to do. (Well, I should probably do the laundry as the mister is out of unmentionables, but I’m talking about those “HAVE TO” things.) Did you all experience such a haze this year?? (Well, unless you are poor Miss Kindergarten or Ms. Cupcake . . . hold on tiz-ite ladies, summer is coming very soon!)
With all this said, I figured I would ease myself back into the “get to” school scene with a little Linky Party action. I am teaming up with The Applicious Teacher to participate in her weekly idea share. This week’s topic is classroom management.

Gotta love the 'ol clip chart! What kid doesn't like to be recognized for good behavior? I've always wanted to try $ in the classroom, but I've always used tickets… maybe it's time to make the switch! I get the humor things…but the "biting"…? LOL! I think I would have to see that one in action. Thanks for linking up, Kelley and please stay safe!

Howdy Miss Leigh . . . thanks so much for hosting. I am going to try to hook up each week!!! Yeah, you probably have to be there for the biting thing. Everyone always cracks up . . . works like a charm for a nutball like me 🙂

I also love using my clip chart! It's transformed my classroom:) I had a really rough boy this past year so I learned to get him above green as early as possible to help him stay more under control. Huge help!

Maribel . . . it's amazing what positive reinforcement can do! I feel the same way . . . take anything you want, but don't take away my clip chart!!!

I'm a big fan of the clip chart 🙂 I love how you use money 🙂 Lunch with you is a great idea, but especially all the counting involved.

I loved the clip chart when I taught 2nd grade. I introduced my campus to it and it has been a hit! I linked up to the party, I would love it if you would go check out my classroom economy post! I am your newest follower!
