It’s a miracle I tell ya! I finally finished my watermelon-flavored Back To School Pack. I have no idea what happened, but as the ever-popular Katie King would say, my “creative mojo” went missing. It took me nearly two weeks to get ‘er back, but I finally found it hiding in some dark and dingy corner. Good
WE GOT SPIRIT. WE GOT SPIRIT! HOW ‘BOUT YOU?
School Spirit. I wanted to throw it out there today. More heads are SO MUCH better than one . . . especially when we are talkin’ about teachers 🙂 My principal and a group of teachers at our school are meeting tomorrow to discuss ways to increase school spirit and, in turn, improve attendance. Here’s
MOVE IT MONDAYS – CLASSROOM MOVEMENT SERIES
Summer is a heck of a time to come up with things to blog about. So, I have decided to start a special series – MOVE IT MONDAYS. Each week I will showcase a little something I have done in my classroom to get my kiddos up, moving, and learning. Thanks to the 3AM
DEAR OLD DAD + SECRET
“Any man can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a dad” – Anne Geddes. I always get quite sentimental on Father’s Day . . . I just can’t help myself. It must be because I have the best dad in the world 🙂 I can honestly say that I would
BIRTHDAY BASH – CLASSROOM + BAINBRIDGE-STYLE
In honor of Mrs. Bainbridge’s AWESOME Bloggy Birthday Bash & Giveaway, I decided that it was the perfect time to jump start a classroom birthday celebration discussion. SUPER STUDENT BUCKS – MATH + REWARDS IN ONE
Hey gang! Pardon the late post. I went with the sci-fi lovin’ hubster to see Prometheus. Not the best movie around, but not the worst either. (I’ll take it over Event Horizon any day!) The cool thing was that it was my first 3D movie. I kept wanting to grab the “stars,” but I somehow
BACK TO SCHOOL THERAPY
Well . . . that’s it. School is out for summer and it’s a little bittersweet. I enjoyed every moment with my little kiddies these last few days and although my body is oh-so happy it’s vacation, I miss them so much already. It was everything I could do to keep my act together yesterday.
TEARFUL GOODBYE + SCAVENGERS
We had a super turnout our First Grade Awards Night this evening. The classroom was packed and the kids were all “prettied” up. Before the night got underway, I began to launch into my annual thank you speech and the moment I opened my mouth, I turned into a blubbering idiot. I cried like a
