BACK TO SCHOOL JITTERS

August 16, 2012 by teacherideafactory

It’s official . . . I’ve stopped sleeping in August.  This can only mean one thing – school is starting on Monday!  OH my dear friends!!!  This may be my 6th year, but I still feel as I did that very first year.  I met 6 of my cuties today and I am in love.  I can only hope that the rest of the “hand I was dealt” is this sweet!

With all these jitters going on, it seemed only right to jump on board with A Turn To Learn’s Back To School Jitters Linky!  My hope here is that by typing out my concerns and “visiting” them in my safe and cozy blogspot, I just might calm down a bit.  Well, that’s my hope anyway πŸ™‚

Let me elaborate just a little bit more . . .
I am excited for so many things this year.  I am excited to get to gettin’ in the lesson planning department.  I am excited to meet my new crew and give them hugs.  I am excited to get those first few moments under my belt so I can stop feeling so nervous.  I am so excited to watch these babes grow . . . the list goes on and on.  Gosh it’s good to be a teacher πŸ™‚

I hosted two “Meet The Teacher” drop in and chat events this week.  Although both were only an hour in length and in the middle of the day, only 6 kiddos out of 23 showed.  I have NEVER had a turnout this low.  I am hoping to have MUCH BETTER parent participation for my Back To School Night schpeal tomorrow. This is the important one!

Sloppy . . . sloppy joe . . . . sloppy . . . sloppy joe!  Oh yeah baby.  Miss Kathy in the cafeteria knows how to plan those lunches.  We have sloppy goodness scheduled for the second day!  One of these days I’ll be able to eat these homemade gems again!

I need to stick a Post-It to my forehead to remind my self of this last one.  With everything up in the air in regards to my health this year, I am going to need to pace myself, work smarter, and know when to say when.  One day at a time, Dolling.  One day at a time πŸ™‚

Be sure to pop on over to visit Jessica at A Turn To Learn and join in her linky fun.  Just click on the button below!

Well, that’s it friends.  I am off to make some reading folder labels.  Check in with me tomorrow for some FREEBIES!!  Thanks for visiting πŸ™‚

I like your last note that your "health comes first." I can't even count the number of times I've gone to school when I should have stayed home! Good luck at Back to School Night. I'm sure you'll have plenty of turn out πŸ™‚

She makes the sauce from scratch. They are KILLER good. And, I love seeing the kids come in from lunch with that orange ring around their mouths πŸ™‚

I love your last one! I'm the worst at that… but I need to remember to take care of myself this year so I don't get the little ones sick!

    Thanks for linking up!

Health is so important…for the teacher and for the students. πŸ™‚ And if you have children of your own at home…that is one more factor in the health picture. I am doing a post on Friday: Make this the Healthiest School Year Ever…a reprise of a post and book event presentation last year.
I'll hop over to join the linky…thanks for the heads-up. πŸ™‚

There are the efficient guides for the students to think and regard about every possible stance and hopefully this will further bring around the positive prospects to them. midwifery personal statement template
