Hello sweet friends. I am all kinds of excited to be a part of the Back To School Blog Hunt! I get to represent Day 4 (it sounds so official when I say it like that) and I’ve got a little free B2S ditty for ya . . .
With the first day of school right around the corner, I have been taking a peek through my files and I ran across a fun little crafty project that I had forgotten all about. The kiddos adored this one (it’s a giggle getter for sure) and I cannot tell you how many compliments I received from these little crafts hangin’ in my window. However, my favorite thing about this project is that it teaches kiddos that art does not have to be perfect and that it’s okay to laugh at yourself (it will be glaring as to why I am saying this in just a sec).
With all this said, I figured I would spruce this craft up a bit, put it in a tidy little packet, and offer it up to you for FREE as a back to school treat. This baby is called The Best Thing Project and it’s tear art at its best 🙂
Thank you Goodness & Fun and KPM Doodles – you always treat me right! |
AHHHHH . . . what an ugly mug. But, that’s what touches my heart about it.
And, when your whole wall or window is filled with these, you can’t help but smile every time you walk by.
The kids begin this project by writing about their favorite thing that has happened in ____ Grade so far. (I do this on Friday of the first week of school.) Then, your students create a tear art self-portrait. If you frontload this correctly, you won’t have any tears when things go wrong and your class will be hootin’ and hollerin’ throughout.
Well, that’s that folks. If you are interested in snaggin’ this free B2S Craft, CLICK HERE! It contains the step-by-step craft and writing directions as well as multiple writing templates.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit me today. Here’s to a wonderful school year!

This is been pretty good for the students to go around and test everything in this regard because these have proven to be much better. fellowship personal statement example
